3. Text Messaging (SMS/MMS) Communications

Handydads uses text messaging to communicate with customers about their service appointments, job updates, and account activity. By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from us through our customer relationship management platform.

Types of Text Messages

  • Transactional Messages: Appointment confirmations, scheduling reminders, job status updates, deposit/payment confirmations, and customer portal access links (magic links)
  • Service Messages: Technician arrival notifications, change request updates, and invoice reminders
  • Marketing Messages: Promotional offers, seasonal maintenance reminders, and special discounts (only if you have opted in)

Opting In

You opt in to receive text messages when you: (a) submit a service request or estimate through our website, (b) create an account on our customer portal, (c) provide your phone number to our staff with consent, or (d) respond with an affirmative keyword (e.g., "YES") to a text message opt-in prompt. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Opting Out

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You may also reply HELP for assistance. After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message and no further texts will be sent unless you re-opt-in. Message Frequency & Rates

Message frequency varies based on your service activity. Typically, you will receive messages related to active jobs and appointments. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan. Handydads is not responsible for messaging charges from your wireless provider.

Supported Carriers

Our text messaging service is compatible with most major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate our business:

  • Stripe: Secure payment processing for deposits, invoices, and subscription billing. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data handling. We never store your full credit card number.
  • Google Firebase: Authentication, database, and cloud storage services for our web application and customer portal
  • GoHighLevel / ClientPulse: Customer relationship management (CRM), appointment scheduling, contact management, and automated text/email messaging. Your contact information is stored in our CRM to facilitate service delivery and communication.
  • Google Analytics: Website traffic analysis and usage statistics (anonymized)
  • Google Cloud Run: Website hosting and deployment

We share only the minimum necessary information with each provider to deliver our services. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

Our website uses:

  • Local Storage: To remember your selected service location, cart contents in the estimator tool, and other preferences
